The HALO Project
Honoring Aging Loved Ones & Ourselves
Navigating the messy, heartbreaking, and beautiful journey of caring for those who once cared for us, without losing ourselves in the process.
How we support your journey
Private, Personalized Support
Sometimes you need space that is entirely your own.
1:1 Caregiver Coaching provides individualized support tailored to your specific situation — whether you are navigating long-distance caregiving, family tension, anticipatory grief, identity shifts, or complex decision-making.
This is not therapy. It is structured, reflective support designed to help you:
Clarify difficult decisions
Process emotional weight and guilt
Navigate family roles and boundaries
Strengthen resilience and self-trust
Gain clarity about your own aging and future
We offer different coaching packages to meet you where you are — whether you need short-term clarity or deeper ongoing support.
Because honoring your loved one should not come at the cost of abandoning yourself.
A Guided Group Experience
The HALO Trust Circle is a small, facilitated group experience for caregivers seeking structure, community, and practical tools. The program is eight weeks long, combining live group sessions every other week with offline educational resources to equip you to better navigate emotions, communicate, make decisions, and build your own support ecosystem.
In this space, you will find:
Thoughtful, guided conversations
Shared reflection with others experiencing similar transitions
Space to speak honestly about the messy, heartbreaking, and beautiful realities of caregiving
The Trust Circle is intentionally intimate. It is not a drop-in support group. It is a guided journey where you are seen, heard, and supported alongside others who understand.
We offer private groups for companies interested in supporting their employees.
Stories, Experts, and Real Conversations
The HALO Podcast is a space to explore the emotional, logistical, and existential dimensions of aging and caregiving.
Through conversations with caregivers and experts across disciplines — from health and psychology to legal planning and eldercare innovation — the podcast opens a broader dialogue about what it truly means to support aging loved ones.
It is a space to:
Hear stories that reflect your own
Learn from professionals navigating this landscape
Feel less alone in your experience
Engage in conversations we rarely have openly
Because caregiving deserves visibility — and so do caregivers.
Nice to meet you!
I am Yennie Rautenberg-Loya, a bilingual executive coach, facilitator, and public speaker with over 2,500 coaching hours, three decades of global corporate experience, and more than 20 years in personal and leadership development.
Originally from Mexico City and now based in Southern California, I built a successful career in corporate communications, working closely with senior leaders and C-suite executives before founding my own coaching practice in 2018. My work has long centered on helping people navigate complex transitions, professional, personal, and identity-driven.
It was my own experience of becoming a caregiver for my aging aunt that expanded my understanding of transitions, not just as a change to be managed, but as deeply human experiences to be lived.
Through both lived experience and conversations with clients navigating caregiving responsibilities for aging parents, I began to see how invisible and emotionally demanding this stage can be.
HALO was born from that intersection of professional insight and personal reality.
My vision is to help shift the conversation around aging so that the later chapters of life are honored, supported, and experienced with dignity and meaning. Aging should not feel like a slow narrowing of life, but an intentional, fulfilling stage that can still hold joy, connection, and purpose.
Through HALO, I hope to contribute to that shift for caregivers today and for the elders we will one day become.
Let’s start with a conversation
Every caregiving journey is different.
Whether you are navigating long-distance caregiving, supporting aging parents, making housing decisions, or simply feeling the emotional weight of this transition, the right format depends on your situation.
Let’s begin with a conversation.
Book a call to share where you are in your journey. Together, we’ll explore which support would be most helpful for you — whether that’s 1:1 coaching, the HALO Trust Circle, or simply starting with the podcast.
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
